I'm a very experienced VR user and gamer (also a UX expert professionally) and with this game I've got so many issues with the controls, I don't know where to start:
  • due to glitchy thumbstick, something else gets selected all the time and in zoning or other areas it's not even obvious. please add point and select option for using the palette (like in Population:One), otherwise it's literally too annoying to play it just for 1h straight
  • I am very comfortable moving around with the sticks, but when I want to teleport to speed things up, I end up having a "wrong" viewing angle for what I was looking at. would help to select target viewing direction before teleporting (like in robo recall)
  • at the border of the map, I can only view something from like 270°, because I cannot step out of the border and view it from there. can you perhaps allow to at least step a few yards over the border?
  • glitchy snap grid oftentimes shifts the position slightly when pulling the trigger, so perhaps either smooth this out automatically (build it where it was aimed for the last 5sec and not in the moment the trigger is pulled) or have a method (button?) to fix the position before actually building it...
  • oftentimes the view for things are obscured by something else (tunnels are a great example), so would be awesome to have some kind of layer system to hide categories of things and save this when trying to build a certain category of things, where I can configure my own view when building e.g. underground roads and hide metro tunnels (or just outline them or have them at a different colour would help already)
  • placing roads/rails under or over ground level with elevating the controller is very glitchy, in particular because it's an analog method for a digital / leveled tool. why not use the thumbsticks to increment/decrement height by 1 level per move up/down?
these are by far not the only, but I guess for now the most important issues. I will extend this post when something else comes to my mind. thanks for reading!
sorry for not following the what happened scheme, if anything needs clarification, just leave a comment, I'm happy to help.
